JX3™ Downdraft Ventilation System with 3 Speeds

Developed and refined by JennAir®, this downdraft ventilation system uses proximity ventilation that helps capture smoke, steam and odors at the cooking surface, whisking them down and out for a fresh, clean kitchen. It has been designed to provide optimal cooking performance, relying on a vertically mounted, 297 CFM Motor Class blower system.

This three-tiered element reaches a high of up to 4,500 watts at its highest setting and can reach a low of 1,050 watts allowing you to experience the ultimate versatility in power levels, accommodating various-sized cookware.

Heating elements sealed underneath a ceramic glass cooking surface that offers up to 1,200 to 1,300 watts of power.

8 Inch Element

A heating element sealed underneath a ceramic glass cooking surface that offers up to 1,800 watts of power.

Perimetric Extraction

Provides exceptional ventiliation performance built into an attractive design by capturing cooking vapors through a thin slot and speeding the air, all while maintaining quiet operation.

297 CFM Motor Class Blower

A single centrifugal blower motor combines with a perimetric design, allowing this ventilation system to operate at just 297 CFM Motor Class.

Hot Surface Indicators

Light(s) positioned at the controls instantly show which element is still hot – even if the element has been turned off.

Optional Duct-Free Ventilation Kit

Downdraft cooktops are manufactured to be used with ductwork, but this option enables conversion of the JX3™ downdraft cooktop to be used with a duct-free system. (Sold separately)

Duct-Free Filter

Filter included with the duct-free kit that captures smoke, grease and moisture, and allows air to travel through the filter without a loss of air efficiency. The filter also has a replacement indicator.
